New York and Nemo: a wonderful white combination

The snow hasn't turned 'yellow' yet...and this weekend New York City offered a different kind of beauty that comes out when covered with a fresh white blanket of snow.  Central and Prospect Park were filled with happy sledders, cross-country (city?) skiers, and snowmen.

Old friends reappeared, like the “Chinatown Snowman” below, just in time for the Year of the Snake.  Check him out in front of the corner grocery at Essex and Canal streets.

Amateur photographers were in heaven. Nothing makes for the most perfect picture than Central Park after snowfall, and with your camera set to black & white, one can capture the silence and peacefulness of a normally bustling city.

Last but not least the Naked Cowboy was out for business as usual at Times Square.
Nothing stops us New Yorkers!
