free FOOD TOURS: Greenwich Village, Lower East Side, Chinatown

Check out these food tours offered by Free Tours by Foot, a walking tour company that is the only FREE, tip based walking tours. What does this mean? That you take the tour for free, but you also do the right thing and tip your guide.

They now offer food tours with the same approach. But the food tours combine your classic historical/cultural walking tour with stops along the way at some of the best of the best food stores and restaurants where YOU decide what to eat and how much to spend on food.

For example, the Greenwich Village Food tour takes you to the best pizza place, falafel stand, cookie store and Italian specialty food shop.  You buy your own food at whichever places you want. Hungry? Try everything. Not into pizza? No one forces you to eat it!

They also offer a Chinatown Food tour that will leave you full after spending all of $5. But always, tip your guide, since they work for tips only.

If you really love history AND food, then the Lower East Side Food tour is the one for you.  Knish, pickles, doughnuts while checking out old synagogues, the current street art scene, and the amazing cultural diversity of this neighborhood.
Check 'em out. You could be enjoying a 2 hour tour filled with history and yummy food for about $10-15.

And the guides are excellent. I know. Im one of them! But dont take my word for it - check out the reviews on Trip Advisor
